Grow Your Gratitude

Bad days are part of school PR. Even on your worst day, there is something going well. Gratitude is a practice with real, actual benefits. Transform your thoughts and behaviors to influence your well-being and performance in powerful ways. Nothing can knock you down when your outlook looks up!

A Little Gratitude Goes a Long Way

In October, we’re challenging you to take gratitude to a new level. Here are few ideas to take action:

  • Each day, write down three things you’re grateful for.

  • Leave a note of gratitude near your desk or bathroom mirror.

  • Take a photo of something you appreciate.

  • Pause to give thanks as you enjoy a tasty meal or favorite treat.

  • Spread gratitude by telling someone "I'm grateful for you."

  • Choose a simple mindfulness practice to add to your day

As you go, pay attention to positive changes in your mindset and resilience when negativity lurks. And be sure to log your completed challenge! This month there's a large Smore Plushy up for grabs (thanks, Smore!). And we can't wait to see how you grow gratitude this month.

Is Your Sub Plan Waiting?

Wait no longer! This is the perfect time to check it off your list. And definitely let us know when your plan is done — whether it was just today or way back when!

The sub plan helped me think beyond me being the only person. It let me look at the strengths of other people and makes me more comfortable being out of the office.
